The Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province issued a list of 57 provincial tourism villages. Maoming's Shuanghe and Hengshan village made it on that list.

Shuanghe village has a total area of 15.3 square kilometers with a population of 6,241. There are more than 300 overseas Chinese along with 936 family members of overseas Chinese. It is a famous overseas Chinese village in western Guangdong.

Shuanghe village is famous for the Sanhua plum. Every year, the village holds festivals to see its blossoms and taste its fruits. It has become one of the most popular rural tourist attractions of Qianpai town in Maoming city receiving more than 100,000 tourists every year.

Hengshan village is located in the middle of Bohe town which has a long history around Madame Xian. Madame Xian was the leader of the Bai Yue People of Lingnan area of Guangdong and Guangxi who lived peacefully and united under her rule.

Hengshan village is 70 percent covered in greenery housing century-old trees, a 4-km gold coast, and protective forest belts. As a key demonstration village of leisure agriculture and rural tourism in Guangdong, it houses a farmers market that can accommodate 2,000 people. Its main industries are agriculture, seafood processing, handicrafts, catering, and tourism.
