The 8th National Walking Festival of Maoming will be held on Dec 18. The route will consist of the 100-mile greenway of rural revitalization from Qiaotou Sports Park in Maonan to Qiaotou village.

Qiaotou Sports Park is located near the Xiaodong River and connects the surrounding countryside. Near the park is Liantang village, a typical rural revitalization village which adopts a Lingnan (Guangdong and the nearby provinces in southeastern China) architectural style. The village has many prosperous industries, and the cultivation of sugarcane vegetables is a major source of income for villagers. Many small parks and pavilions in the village are a testament to the achievements of rural revitalization.

For lychee farmers, it is very convenient to transport the lychees to the rural market, where they will be purchased and transported throughout the country via cold chain.
