As of June 15, a total of 1,334.5 metric tons of Maoming lychees had been exported under the supervision of Maoming Customs since the first batch was exported on May 7.
The export volume was up 190 percent from the same period last year, and lychees were exported to 17 countries in Europe, North America and Southeast Asia.
This year's lychee production in Maoming is expected to increase by 20 percent year on year, and Maoming Customs has implemented various measures to expand the export of Maoming lychees.
It has made use of an online service platform to efficiently handle the registration process for seven lychee export orchards and packaging factories, saving their time.

Special "one-to-one" services were given by customs to related enterprises to improve their production management systems, ensuring the quality and safety of products. Green channels were also opened for agricultural products, shortening the time required for export customs clearance.
"This year is an abundant year for Maoming lychees. Thanks to the proactive service and great help from the Maoming Customs, we have more confidence in expanding our international market," said a person in charge of Maoming Zefengyuan Agricultural Products.
