Two cultural tourism enterprises in Maoming were rated as models for the integrated and innovative development of tourism groups in 2020 at this year's China Tourism Group Development Forum, which was held in Beijing from Dec 12 to 14.

Guangdong Four Seasons Cultural Travel Industry Co Ltd made the list of the top 10 cases of integrated and innovative development of tourism groups in 2020 for its innovative "urban cultural tourism butler service" for open-ended areas.

Guangdong Wanlyu Group Co Ltd was listed among the top 10 nomination cases of integrated and innovative development of tourism groups in 2020 for its cultural coastal international tourist resort.

In recent years, Maoming has been making efforts to build itself into a national coastal tourism destination with the help of the Beibu Gulf city cluster, as well as developing the coastal tourism and mountain tourism economic belts.

To date, the city has built more than 20 tourist attractions that are open to the public, including eight national 4A-level ones and nine 3A-level ones. In 2019, the city received a total of 45.45 million domestic and foreign visits, as well as generated 47.61 billion yuan ($7.29 billion) in tourism revenue.

Jointly hosted by the China Tourism Association and the China Tourism Academy, the China Tourism Group Development Forum has been carried out annually since 2009. It has become a brand forum for China's tourism industry.
