Maoming Gravity Petrochemical Equipment Co Ltd won the second award for technology innovation achievement at the fourth National Equipment Management and Technology Innovation Achievements Exchange Conference, which was held in Jiangshan, Zhejiang province from Aug 22 to 23.

This is the first time for a Maoming enterprise to win an award of this kind.

The award is selected by the China Association of Plant Engineering, which is in charge of the National Development and Reform Commission, every two to three years.

This year's selection covered innovative achievements created in 2018 and 2019, dividing winners into the two categories of the management innovation award and the technology innovation award.

The spherical diaphragm high-efficiency sealing technology created by Maoming Gravity Petrochemical Equipment Co Ltd solved the problems of traditional sealing of petrochemical large heat exchanger tubes being easy to corrode and crack, as well as hard to repair in high temperature and high pressure conditions.

The enterprise's research and development on this technology started in 2007, and it has obtained a total of 10 patents for invention and six utility model patent authorizations.

To date, the technology has been applied on petrochemical equipment like coolers for chemical fluid compression, coal gasification to produce hydrogen equipment, and chemical fertilizer production plants, covering many domestic and overseas engineering projects.
