Located in Xinyi, the "Jade City of South China", Xinyi Middle School is a senior middle school with a long history, a large number of talents, and a distinctive management style. Founded in 1982 in Xinyi, it was formerly known as Zhongyi Academy.

In 1995, it was among the first provincial first-class schools in Maoming, and in 2007 it became one of Maoming’s first three state-level model senior middle schools.
