According to the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation, the average time for starting a business from January to April in Maoming was 0.4 days, 0.66 days faster than that at the end of 2019.

The city's administration for market regulation has carried out a series of measures to reduce the time for starting a business, including further simplifying the registration process, improving the efficiency of the administration permission, as well as promoting the construction of the smart self-declaration platform for business registration.

In April, there were a total of 4,899 newly registered market entities in Maoming, up 1.7 percent year-on-year, while 5,201 new market entities were registered in the city in May, a year-on-year increase of 28.4 percent.

From January to May, Maoming had 19,747 newly registered market entities of various types, with registered capital totaling 3.46 million yuan ($488,313).

There were a total of 295,511 market entities of various types in the city by the end of May, with a registered capital of 36.17 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12 percent and 17 percent respectively.
