Maoming opened a new bus route to Gaozhou, a county-level city in Maoming, on June 7 to make it more convenient for people to travel around.

The new bus route, which is named G2, starts from the South Square of Maoming Railway Station to the Gaozhou Tourism Distribution Center. It has a total of 48 stops along the route, including Maonan People's Hospital, Hexi Coach Station, and Maoming West Railway Station.

Twelve fully electric vehicles are operated on this route with bilingual broadcasting. There are no conductors on the buses and people can pay for bus tickets via WeChat or Alipay.

The G2 buses are charged in stages, with a starting price of 2 yuan ($0.30). The whole journey costs 10 yuan.
