The natural gas trunk line project linking Maoming and Yangjiang, two nearby cities in Guangdong province, started construction on March 30.

The trunk line, which is expected to be put into operation by the end of 2021, is the first of its kind that links Maoming and Yangjiang.

As one of the major construction projects listed by the provincial government, the natural gas trunk line project is 157.2 kilometers in length with two gas stations and eight valve chambers.

The operation of the project will effectively relieve the pressure of gas consumption in Maoming and Yangjiang, as well as increase the application scale of natural gas in the two cities, which can promote the upgrading of energy consumption and energy restructuring in east Guangdong province.
