On the morning of February 9, 15 doctors and nurses left Maoming on an assistance trip to Hubei Province, the second team sent by the city to fight the novel conoravirus outbreak.

The team departed from the Municipal Health Bureau with medical supplies for this ongoing epidemic fight in Hubei. The farewell ceremony was attended by Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor Yuan Gujie, as well as deputy mayors Li Duomin and Cui Jian.

The team consists of five doctors and 10 nurses from Maonan People’s Hospital, Dianbai People’s Hospital, Xinyi People’s Hospital, Huazhou People’s Hospital, and Maoming State-owned Farm Hospital.

Li addressed the farewell ceremony on behalf of the municipal government. He extended the highest appreciation and respect to team members for their selflessness and contribution.

He said he hopes the team will fully implement President Xi’s important instructions on epidemic control and the arrangement of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. Li said that the team must be fully dedicated to helping people in need and saving lives, complete epidemic control tasks wholeheartedly, and fulfil the special mission of winning the critical fight against the novel conoravirus.

Team member representative Lai Longjian said at the ceremony that the team is committed to the realization of its mission, will make full play of their expertise, and complete medical tasks professionally and successfully.
