Pummelo peel is a precious Chinese medicinal. Known as the "Southern ginseng", it can resolve phlegm, relieve cough and invigorate the stomach.

It was regarded as an imperial drug in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and is now a national protected traditional medicine sold to areas throughout the country including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and exported to Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States.
