The "Blanc de Chine – Dehua Porcelain" international exhibition tour was recently launched in three countries: the United States, Mexico and the Netherlands. The tour has not only received strong attention from the public but has also been endorsed by Hua Chunying, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman.
While the tour was on its New York leg, Huang Ping, Chinese consul general in New York, said on social media that with the US as its largest export destination, Blanc de Chine helps give Americans a better understanding of China and its culture. He said he hopes the exhibition offers more Americans an opportunity to appreciate these masterpieces of art.
Hua then retweeted the message.
Dehua is China's largest production and export base of ceramic handicrafts. The 105 pieces of national treasure-grade Dehua porcelain are divided into four categories: antique-inspired cultural creations, artisanal porcelain, everyday porcelain, and export porcelain, showcasing the diverse characteristics of Dehua white porcelain.
Through the tour, Dehua aims to enhance its global influence, forge stronger connections, and foster collaboration with international partners.
