The "Millennium Carving Art · Maritime Silk Road Romance" exhibition opened at the Carving Center in the Quanzhou Taiwanese Investment Zone on Dec 12 as a part of the fifth Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival.
The exhibition, which will run until Dec 31, is showcasing a thousand pieces of carving artworks, including wood carving, lacquer wire carving, stone carving, and jade carving, among others.
The exhibition brings together carving artists from both sides of the Taiwan Strait and fosters cultural exchanges within the industry. The exhibition will also provide a communication platform for artists to foster collective growth.
In the "intangible cultural heritage experience area" on the first floor, provincial-level inheritors of Quanzhou lacquer line, wood, and stone carvings can be found demonstrating their mastery of their respective crafts.
At the "artisanal garden" on the second floor, visitors can appreciate outstanding works by 38 masters of carving art.
This exhibition not only showcases the rich heritage of carving culture but also presents a significant opportunity to promote innovative progress in the carving industry. Quanzhou Taiwanese Investment Zone aims to integrate and expand its resources in the carving industry, establish a complete industrial chain, and contribute to promote cross-Strait integrated development in culture.
