Today the stone pavilion no longer exists and the stone stele is stored in the cultural relic’s management office of Fuwen Temple.
Previously, when scholars paid homage to Confucius, they would drink a scoop of cool well water at the well, both to commemorate the great sage and to quench their thirst.
