The welcoming dinner of the fifth Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival took place on the evening of Dec 8, featuring the unique Quanzhou flavor that combines tradition and innovation.

The waitresses dressed in Hui'an and Haohaipu women's costumes presented Quanzhou specialties one by one. Each dish was selected from the special dishes of various counties (cities and districts), including Anhai's seaworm jelly, Quanzhou's beef soup, and more.

There is a sea of elements of Quanzhou's intangible culture in the dinner venue, including Anxi bamboo and rattan weaving, Jincang embroidery art, and more.

Meanwhile, with Quanzhou lacquer painting artist Chen Lide's lacquer painting as the visual tone integrated into the dinner menu, dinner plates, napkins, tea ceremony, and other banquet utensils, the event gave guests a perspective of art to savor cuisines.
