The 14th Quanzhou International Nanyin Symposium, one of the highlights of the fifth Maritime Silk Road International Arts Festival, was held at Quanzhou Liyuan Opera Classical Theater at 7:30 pm on Dec 7, with representatives from 38 Nanyin associations at home and abroad performing on the same stage.

After the opening ceremony, the "Nanyin Drifting Along Maritime Silk Road·Moon Shining Bright in Homeland" special performance was held, enthralling fans the world over.

The performance is divided into a prelude, first part, second part, and ending, with a total of 9 programs. It ended with "Birds Return to their Nests", which depicted the joy of countless overseas Chinese returning home and contained the beautiful vision of praying for the peace, well-being and prosperity of contemporary China.

Quanzhou is the birthplace of Nanyin and remains at the forefront of the art form's development.
