A light show themed on the Maritime Silk Road International Art Festival kicked off mainly on the two sides of the Jinjiang River in urban areas on Dec 6 and will last until Dec 13, showcasing the culture of Quanzhou and creating a festive atmosphere.

On the north bank of the Jinjiang River, the facades of many building have lit up with patterns, signs, and slogans related to the Maritime Silk Road International Art Festival, such as "A Festival of Arts, a Gala for All". On the south bank are Minnan cultural activities such as a Quanzhou puppet show, nanyin and more, as well as world cultural heritage items such as Qingjing Temple.
