The China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship in Quanzhou, a city in East China's Fujian province, reopened its doors to the public on Sept 29.

In order to effectively prevent and control the novel coronavirus epidemic, the museum has implemented a real-name system of appointment-driven visits.

The museum is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, except on Mondays when it is closed (excluding national statutory holidays). The current daily limit of visitors is 3,000 and people should make an appointment on the museum's public WeChat account seven days in advance.

On the day of the visit, visitors must present the original valid certificate or QR code, as well as their health code.

Located to the northwest of the urban area of Quanzhou, the China Museum for Fujian-Taiwan Kinship is a national thematic museum reflecting on the historical relationship between Fujian and Taiwan.

Covering a total area of 154.2 mu (10.28 hectares), the museum showcases the special craftsmanship of traditional buildings in Fujian and Taiwan, fully demonstrating the humanistic spirit and regional features of the cross-Straits.

It has been recognized as a national demonstration base for the education of patriotism and has also been recognized as a national youth education base, a national first-level museum and cross-Straits exchange base.
