The organizers said the fair has set up exhibition areas for categories including snack food finished products, food processing and packaging machinery, food technology, food raw and auxiliary materials and additives, packaging design and new retail brands.

These are providing international and professional food industry connection platforms for customers from all over the world.

During the event, other activities are also being held, such as the 2020 Cross-Strait Food Industry Award Ceremony and China Snack Food Technology Summit Forum, making it a comprehensive communications platform for the international food industry.

As one of China's largest export processing bases for snack foods, Jinjiang now has more than 500 food manufacturing companies, with products covering hundreds of varieties in more than 10 categories such as candy, jelly and baking.

In 2019, Jinjiang's food and beverage industry had an output value of 51.47 billion yuan ($7.37 billion), a year-on-year increase of 6.3 percent.
