Quanzhou deepens agricultural cooperation with Taiwan
In recent years, Quanzhou, a city in East China's Fujian province, has continued to deepen agricultural cooperation and exchanges with Taiwan.
To date this year, the city has implemented 11 Quanzhou-Taiwan agricultural cooperation projects, with a support fund of one million yuan ($141,135.29).
In March, Quanzhou completed the screening, demonstration and collection of 100 Quanzhou-Taiwan agricultural cooperation projects, and established a project reserve library.
The projects covered areas like deep processing, agricultural product e-commerce, cold chain logistics, ecological recycling agriculture, rural leisure and sightseeing, and pastoral complexes.
With a total investment of 5.22 billion yuan, after they are put into operation, the output value can be increased by 3.74 billion yuan.
The Taiwan Farmers Pioneering Park in Huian county has introduced 13 sets of advanced processing, planting and breeding production equipment, and the park has 26 Taiwan-funded agricultural enterprises.
In addition, the Taiwan Agricultural Technology Exchange and Promotion Center in Quanzhou has established more than 30 Taiwan agricultural technology demonstration sites, showcasing over 20,000 mu (1,333.33 hectares) of new Taiwan crop varieties throughout the city.
