A total of 578 enterprises from Quanzhou, a city in East China's Fujian province, are participating in the 127th session of the China Import and Export Fair.

Known as Canton Fair, the biannual event opened online on June 15 and will continue through to June 24. It takes place in Guangzhou, capital of southern China's Guangdong province.

Among the attendees are a large number of Quanzhou foreign trade enterprises with independent intellectual property rights, independent brands and core technologies.

With 1,529 booths, the exhibited products of Quanzhou are mainly textiles and clothing, shoes, ceramics, bags and suitcases, household goods and electromechanical products.

Through new forms of livestreaming and short videos, Quanzhou foreign trade enterprises will showcase products and services and conduct 24-hour business negotiations.

Foreign buyers can register on the 24-hour livestreaming platform and start purchase negotiations at any time during the exhibition period, as all companies have been exempted from paying exhibition fees in order to bolster international trade and yield win-win results.

The fair, the first digital edition in its 63-year history, will help stabilize global supply and industrial chains amid uncertainties in global trade caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.
