Nan'an in Quanzhou donates masks for global virus fight
Nan’an in Quanzhou, a city in East China’s Fujian province, recently made a series of donations for the international fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.
Officials said the first batch of 200,000 disposable face masks that were purchased as a donation has now been sent abroad.

Of the masks donated by Nan’an, 120,000 were donated to the Nan'an (Hong Kong) Association, 20,000 to the Australia Nan’an Association Inc and the Nan'an Chamber of Commerce (Australia), 20,000 to the Cebu Branch of the Philippines Nan’an Association Inc and 40,000 to Mandaue in Philippines, a sister city of Nan’an.
Since the start of this year, Nan'an has made efforts to helping overseas Nan’an people to fight the epidemic.

The city has successively issued letters and warm tips to remind overseas Nan’an people to minimize their trips outside their homes to reduce the risk of infection.
It has also strengthened communications with overseas Nan’an people and kept abreast of the local epidemic situation, sending them the warm regards of the people to help boost their confidence in the fight against the epidemic.

Officials at the Nan’an epidemic prevention and control headquarters said the city will continue to mobilize local villagers, enterprises and social organizations to help people overseas by donating materials.
