A cultural tourism promotion group from Quanzhou, Fujian province, came to Suzhou, Jiangsu province, to hold a cultural tourism promotion conference on Dec 17. 

Over 100 government officials, reporters and travel experts from various tourism organizations and agencies in both Quanzhou and Suzhou participated in the event. 

Quanzhou's rich tourism resources, profound Maritime Silk Road culture, and southern Fujian cultural heritage were explained to the audience through a series of activities. 

Officials of the promotion group handed out tourism promotional materials and spoke about the airlines operating out of Jinjiang International Airport.   

Plane tickets, star-rated hotel coupons, scenic spot tickets, and special cultural gifts were given as prizes to the holders of numbers drawn at random at the conference. 

Suzhou is distinctively different from Quanzhou in terms of geological characteristics and tourism scenery, officials said.

And Suzhou tourists were offered three boutique travel routes specially designed for them by Quanzhou tourism agencies, namely the Ancient South Fujian Shanhai Quanzhou Journey, In-depth Exploration of Maritime Silk Road Culture Tour, and Fresh Literary and Art Experience Tour. 

Quanzhou Travel Agency also signed a cooperation agreement with Suzhou Travel Agency, promising to expand the tourism markets of the two cities and promote cooperation between the two sides. 

Cultural tourism promotional videos will be played at major travel agencies in Suzhou in the next few days.
