Quanzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1953 as a Grade-III Class-A traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hospital in Fujian province.

The hospital covers 115,333 square meters with 1,000 beds. Every year it has over 600,000 outpatient visits, discharges more than 25,000 patients, and performs over 5,000 operations.

There are 20 clinical departments and nine medical technology departments at the hospital, showcasing its key specialties and obvious advantages in TCM.

The brain disease department, acupuncture and moxibustion department and two other specialties have been shortlisted by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine  as the 12th Five-year Plan (2011-15) key specialty construction projects.
