Fujian Nan'an Economic Development Zone, approved by the National Development and Reform Commission and Fujian provincial government, covers 44.1 square kilometers and is divided into three industrial parks – Fumaoling, Chenggong and Plumbing.
Currently, the development zone has more than 3,500 registered enterprises, including self-employed enterprises. In 2018, the total output value of the zone reached 42.09 billion yuan ($5.98 billion), up eight percent year-on-year. The total industrial output value was 104.4 billion yuan, and the industrial and commercial tax revenue was 1.04 billion yuan. Exports totaled 1.71 billion yuan and imports 1.01 billion yuan.
The development zone has risen to become an important support for the economic development of Nan'an.
Plumbing, kitchen and bathroom, and sanitary ceramics sectors are pillar industries in the zone. The plumbing, kitchen and bath industry cluster is the only one in Fujian province identified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a pilot project for regional brand construction.
