Cross-Straits agricultural products fair held in Quanzhou

As part of this year's China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), the 12th Cross-Straits Agricultural Products Fair was held in Nan'an, a county-level city in Quanzhou, Fujian province from Sept 7 to 9.
According to the organizing committee, the exhibition hall covered an area of 25,000 square meters, with 800 international standard booths.
The exhibits covered a wide range of goods, including grain, oil, agricultural products, fruits, aquatic products, food, and agriculture-related machinery.
The fair gathered exhibitors from more than 10 countries and regions, including Australia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
A total of 229 enterprises from 13 counties and cities of Taiwan participated in the exhibition with 363 booths.
A dizzying array of specialties and products from Taiwan were available for visitors, including millet wine, high mountain tea, sorghum liquor, nougat, and red pitaya.
Wang Chunjin, Party secretary of Nan'an, said that the fair is designed to showcase the fruitful achievements from the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, as well as the countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative in the aspects of agricultural product market upgrading and technological innovation. It also aimed to promote agricultural trade and cooperation, as well as cross-Straits integration development.
A series of matchmaking activities were also held during the event to facilitate trade and cooperation.
