Xiuzhou district in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, launched its first direct bus route, No 61, to Jiaxing Nanhu Airport on Dec 19, ahead of the airport's scheduled opening by the end of December.

As early as last year, the district's traffic department began planning the airport bus route in collaboration with the city's transport department. Recognizing the importance of this service for residents, the two departments conducted multiple rounds of site inspections and coordination to finalize key details such as road accessibility and bus stop locations.

The No 61 bus route fills a crucial gap in direct airport access for Xiuzhou residents. It covers several major city roads, including Changhong Lu, Hongxing Lu, and Juxian Lu, linking residential areas, commercial sites, and office hubs. Running from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm at Jiaxing Nanhu Airport, the bus service is scheduled to match the airport's first and last flights, meeting the needs of early and late travelers.

The launch of this bus route will strengthen the district's public transportation network, enhance service levels, and support the development of Jiaxing Nanhu Airport as a key transportation hub. Looking ahead, Xiuzhou will continue to improve service quality and expand public transit options to better meet residents' travel needs.
