The Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Zhejiang Province recently unveiled the list of the 2024 Rural Digital Life Museums. With 33 entries from Jiaxing making the cut, the city's tally now stands at 51, the 2nd highest in the province.

Among the selected entries is the rural digital life museum in Gaodun village, Tongxiang, a county-level city of Jiaxing. The museum garnered recognition for its outstanding implementation of an intelligent elderly care system. Residents aged over 80 are outfitted with smart bracelets and other monitoring devices to track their physical well-being. These devices are also adept at swiftly identifying irregular activities like wandering off, falls, or prolonged inactivity, ensuring timely assistance.

Meanwhile, the Shenjia Lane Rural Digital Life Museum in Pinghu, another county-level city in Jiaxing, shines as a hub for community interaction and event engagement. This space also integrates digital technologies tailored to residents' needs, allowing locals to access smart amenities within arm's reach.

Looking ahead, Jiaxing aims to cater to villagers' most pressing needs in areas such as healthcare, education, sports, and culture. The blueprint includes the deployment of 5G-powered cloud clinics, cultural hubs, smart libraries, and more to ensure that villagers reap the benefits of digital rural infrastructure.
