Jiashan county, a typical Jiangnan (the area south of the Yangtze River) water town, covers 506 square kilometers and has jurisdiction over six towns and three subdistricts.
Located at the junction of Shanghai and Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces, and the intersection of four big major cities – Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Ningbo – Jiashan is an important city in the Yangtze River Delta integration, the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the Hangzhou Bay Greater Area, and G60 Science and Innovation Corridor.
Boasting two State-level platforms, Jiashan Economic Development Zone and Jiaxing Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Jiashan is an innovation highland with thriving industries and outstanding talents. By the end of 2018, contracts were signed for a new project, Sino-Singaporean Jiashan Modern Industrial Park.
