A tea culture festival was held on April 15 in the Zhang Family Ancient Tea Garden in Tanghui subdistrict, Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, on the first day of its reopening after a renovation, local media outlets reported.

Participants of the festival enjoyed fine scenery, tasted tea, and learned about the techniques of frying tea leaves in the garden.

The Zhang Family Ancient Tea Garden, previously called Zhangyuan Garden, has a history of more than 300 years. Viewed from the air, the garden's tea trees, covering an area of about 2.7 mu (1,800 square meters), are shaped like a gold ingot.

In 2022, Tanghui subdistrict started giving a facelift to the ancient garden by building flower-covered corridors and some other attractions.
