Jiaxing among China's top 100 cities in scientific and technological innovation

Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province ranked 30th on the 2022 list of China's top 100 cities in scientific and technological innovation released by CCID Consulting Co Ltd, local media reported on Nov 18.
Enterprises are the main engine of the city's scientific and technological innovation. The number of national high-tech enterprises in the city has exceeded 3,000 in the past 10 years, 10.2 times the number in 2012.
The city's high-tech industries and strategic emerging industries accounted for 67.7 percent and 41.4 percent of the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size, respectively, ranking first in the province.
Over the past 10 years, Jiaxing has introduced 11 scientific innovation platforms, including the Zhejiang Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua University, Zhejiang Institute of Advanced Technology of the China Academy of Science, Zhejiang Institute of Flexible Electronics Technology of Tsinghua and Zhejiang Future Technology Institute, building an innovation ecological chain.
In addition, Jiaxing's total talent resources have now exceeded 1.26 million, an increase of 50 percent over 2012.
