Red tourism route in Jiaxing
A travel route in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, was recently included among the 128 high-quality rural tourism routes in China released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and China's Working Committee on Caring for the Next Generation.
The route features "red tourism"-a type of tourism in which people visit sites of historical importance for communism in China.

Nanhu Lake Revolutionary Memorial Hall→Nanhu Lake Scenic Area (Nanhu Lake Red Boat)→Liangjiadun Scenic Area
The best time to visit the scenic spots is from July to September.

The Nanhu Lake Revolutionary Memorial Hall was established in 1959 to promote and protect the site of the first CPC National Congress. The memorial hall currently houses more than 10,000 artifacts, including revolutionary relics and precious documents as well as valuable paintings and calligraphy works to showcase the CPC's 100 years of history.

The Nanhu Lake Scenic Area, a national 5A-level scenic spot, boasts beautiful scenery and an ancient Chinese garden. Nanhu Lake, along with Xuanwu Lake in Nanjing and West Lake in Hangzhou, has been dubbed one of the "three renowned lakes" of the southern Yangtze River.
The red boat, where the first CPC National Congress convened in 1921, can be admired in the Nanhu Lake Scenic Area.

Liangjiadun Scenic Area is an ancient village near Qiantang River. Most of the buildings are more than 100 years old. It is an excellent destination to watch the Qiantang River tide.
