The per capita disposable income of residents in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, totaled 19,282 yuan ($2,867.43) in the first quarter of this year, taking fifth place among the 11 prefecture-level cities in the province.

The per capita disposable income of rural residents reached 15,108 yuan, rising 6.5 percent year-on-year and ranking first among the 11 cities in the province.

The average wage income of rural residents amounted at 10,194 yuan, up 6.2 percent, while net operating income reached 3,162 yuan, an increase of 7.1 percent.

In the same period, the per capita disposable income of urban residents in the city stood at 21,752 yuan, an increase of 4.9 percent year-on-year and ranking seventh among the 11 cities in the province.

The average wage income of urban residents was 14,599 yuan, an increase of 6.2 percent, while the net operating income was 3,162 yuan, up 7.1 percent.
