Jiaxing University adds four new majors

Jiaxing University in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, has received approval from the Ministry of Education to add another four majors for undergraduate students, local media reported on March 2.
Physical education majors are expected to master the basic theories, techniques, and methods of physical education and will be able to teach students at elementary and secondary schools after graduation.
Communication engineering majors will become application-oriented professionals in scientific research, engineering design, technological development, and project management. They will specialize in short-wave communications, electronic countermeasures, and internet of things technology.
Cross-border e-commerce majors will learn about international digital business management as well as project planning and operation management for cross-border e-commerce businesses.
Anesthesiology majors are expected to master the basic theories and skills of preclinical medicine, clinical medicine, and anesthesiology. They will work for community medical institutions in clinical anesthesia, pain treatment, intensive care and treatment, and engage in medical research after graduation.
After being approved by the Ministry of Education in 2000, Jiaxing University became a full-time comprehensive university with 55 undergraduate majors, including two national featured majors, more than 1,660 staff members, and over 15,900 full-time students.
