Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang had retrieved more than 200,000 migrant workers from 47 counties in nine provinces for over 4,000 local companies by March 12, local media reported.

The last charted train, also the 42nd charted train sent by municipal and county governments, carried more than 1,300 migrant workers from Yiliang county, Yunnan province, to Jiaxing on March 12.

In addition, Jiaxing municipal government sent 7,331 coaches and 15 planes to retrieve migrant workers for its local companies.

In February, as companies in Jiaxing were shorthanded after resuming operations amid the novel coronavirus outbreak, the local government dispatched 55 teams led by senior officials to help their migrant workers return to the city.

These teams also organized job fairs in cooperation with local governments and human resources institutions in the 47 counties and helped Jiaxing companies recruit employees.

Recruiters from Jiaxing Yipeng Chemical Fiber Co Ltd who joined one of the 55 government teams to Zhaotong city, Yunnan province, also decided to offer 20 jobs to local people with disabilities.

At present, more than 2.07 million employees have come back to work in Jiaxing, 950,000 of whom come from other provinces.
