Jiaxing Ship Culture Museum
Jiaxing, south of Taihu Lake in Zhejiang province, was one of the earliest birthplaces of ancient Chinese boats and ships, with the ship culture there dating back thousands of years.
Jiaxing Ship Culture Museum, established in 2003 as the first of its kind in China, is located on the bank of the ancient Grand Canal. The museum, covering more than 1,800 square meters, is full of water-town characteristics.
Visitors can learn about the history of boats, appreciate famous boats from around the world and enjoy picturesque scenery.
