Situated in the overlapping zone of Shanghai and Hangzhou metropolis circles, Jiaxing is forging a pattern of "one city with two belts" and driving full-swing construction of the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor. It will emerge as a holistic sci-tech incubation city, a high-tech industrial cluster belt and a collaborative innovation demonstration belt with a scientific and technological innovation layout featuring "one core as the leading force, two wings for collaboration and multiple points for support".

The Jiashan Information Technology City and the Pinghu Park of Zhangjiang Yangtze River Delta Sci-Tech City will absorb sci-tech resources spilling over from neighboring Shanghai. With Jiaxing Science City and Jiaxing Xiuzhou High-tech Development Zone as the main force, Jiaxing will give full play to the role of the Yangtze Delta Region Institute of Tsinghua University in Zhejiang and similar research institutions and deepen cooperation with renowned universities and central enterprises such as Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Electronics Technology Group Corporation.

Relying on the International Campus Zhejiang University and the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, Jiaxing will scale the heights of the new-round scientific and technological industrial revolution, and become a sub-center of the regional innovation system in Zhejiang province and the leading scientific and technological innovation center in Shanghai.
