Jinhua's GDP grows 6.3% in 2025
Jinhua's economy demonstrated impressive growth in 2025, with the city's GDP reaching 731.35 billion yuan ($105.12 billion) — a 6.3 percent increase from the previous year, according to the Jinhua statistics bureau. This growth rate outpaced the national and provincial averages by 1.3 and 0.8 percentage points, respectively.
The growth was driven by contributions from all three sectors. The added value of the primary industry increased by 3.4 percent, while the secondary and tertiary sectors each grew by 6.3 percent, reaching 273.07 billion yuan and 441.26 billion yuan, respectively.
Agriculture remained a steady contributor, with the added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery rising by 3.5 percent to 17.72 billion yuan, while the industrial sector saw a 6.6 percent growth in added value, driven by 18 of 33 industries.
The service sector also thrived, posting a 6.3 percent year-on-year increase, with notable contributions from finance, transportation, storage and postal services, and wholesale and retail trades.
Jinhua's foreign trade surpassed the one-trillion-yuan mark for the first time in 2025, reaching a total trade volume of 1.05 trillion yuan — up 19.5 percent year-on-year.
The trade network continued to expand, with exports to ASEAN growing by 38.0 percent and to countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative rising 24.8 percent. Exports to Africa accounted for 9.4 percent of the national total and 41.2 percent of the provincial total.
Per capita disposable income rose by 4.7 percent to 67,877 yuan. For urban residents, it grew by 4.1 percent to 80,052 yuan, while for rural residents, it increased by 5.5 percent. The urban–rural income ratio was 1.86, down 0.03 from the previous year.
