Changshan Huyou, originally rooted in Chengtan village, Qingshi town, is a citrus hybrid combining sour orange and pomelo that is unique to Changshan county in Quzhou, Zhejiang province.

Historical records on Changshan Huyou from the Ming Dynasty's (1368–1644) Changshan County Annals differentiate between oranges and pomelos, a distinction also noted in the Qing Dynasty's (1644–1911) version of the annals. Cultivation of Changshan Huyou dates back at least 600 years to the early Ming period.

In 1996, the Ministry of Agriculture designated Changshan county as the "Home of Changshan Huyou in China".

This fruit is prized for its unique variety, flavor, storage properties, and health benefits. A local saying goes, "Regularly eating Huyou keeps you healthy," highlighting the fruit's health benefits.

Changshan has developed nearly 100 products across eight categories, including beverages, food, health, beauty, medicine, fragrance, seasoning, and tea, maximizing the use of every Huyou fruit.

The total output value of the Changshan Huyou industrial chain now exceeds 3.5 billion yuan ($503.12 million). This small fruit has become a strong driver of the region's economic growth.
