A large cat-themed, pet-friendly resort is now under construction in Ningbo, set to open in July. It offers travelers a new way to vacation with their animals instead of leaving them behind.

The destination, called Maoyang Valley, is currently taking shape in Maoyang township, Xiangshan county, about 50 kilometers from central Ningbo and close to the coast. It is designed for visitors who want to travel with animals and enjoy a slower, more interactive style of vacation.

Unlike most resorts that focus only on people, Maoyang Valley puts pets at the center of the experience. Plans include dedicated cat interaction zones, small animal areas, themed accommodation, and pet-friendly dining. A full-service pet center will provide grooming services, medical care, and boarding, making longer stays with animals easier and more comfortable.

One of the main attractions will be a full-breed cat exhibition and interaction space, where guests can interact with a wide range of cats — from everyday house cats to rare breeds — in carefully designed environments.

The resort also blends art, design, and technology to create a relaxed, welcoming setting aimed at relieving stress and offering quality leisure time. By rethinking what a vacation can look like, Maoyang Valley is positioning itself as the ultimate destination for traveling with pets.
