Yangleduo Eco-Agricultural Co in Pan'an county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, is transitioning from traditional, labor-intensive methods to efficient, intelligent operations — a shift most evident on its pig farm.

After breaking ground in May last year, the farm completed its digital overhaul by December, becoming the first digital farm in Pan'an.

The farm employs cutting-edge technology to improve animal welfare and resource efficiency. A central control screen monitors every aspect of operations in real-time. Smart systems automatically adjust barn conditions, and intelligent feeders dispense precise amounts of feed based on each sow's specific needs, significantly reducing waste.

Additionally, waste management systems convert feces into organic fertilizer, supporting a green, closed-loop system.

"The farm is like a super caretaker and the control center acts as its brain, while sensors serve as sensory organs and all facilities function as its hands and feet. Together, they constantly monitor the environment and pig health to ensure smooth operations," said Chen Jian, the company's general manager.

This digital approach has reduced costs and improved the health and overall quality of the pigs. The farm currently houses around 9,000 pigs, including 500 sows, with an annual output of 14,000 pigs.
