Kaihua county, located in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, is renowned for its root carving artistry, which has become a cultural emblem of Kaihua.

At the end of 2020, Kaihua's Root Palace Buddhist Cultural Tourism Zone achieved a Guinness World Record as the world's largest root carving museum, boasting a collection of 5,696 pieces.

In the video, international influencer Masha experiences the ancient craft firsthand, "traveling" back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907) to try her hand at root carving for the first time. This unique cultural exchange highlights the global appeal and historical depth of Kaihua's root carving tradition.
