A high-level economic and trade forum linking China's Zhejiang province with Indonesia and Thailand convened in Hangzhou on March 18.
Hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhejiang Provincial Committee, the event drew enterprise leaders, institutional representatives, and banking officials for a day of strategic dialogue.
The forum featured a dedicated session on business climates, where investment promotion agencies from Indonesia and Thailand showcased their respective services and incentives.
The Board of Investment of Thailand introduced a robust package of perks aimed at renewable energy and digital economy firms. Highlights included up to eight years of full corporate income tax exemptions, followed by five years at half rates, alongside duty-free equipment imports and rare provisions for foreign ownership of land.
Round-table discussions brought Zhejiang's trailblazing entrepreneurs to the fore, with representatives sharing insights from their investment ventures in Indonesia and Thailand.
A senior official from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhejiang Provincial Committee framed the forum as a springboard for broader initiatives.
"This event marks the start of a sustained trade promotion campaign," the official said. "By uniting government, societal, and market resources, we aim to deliver comprehensive support for Zhejiang firms expanding overseas."
