Quzhou's foreign trade reaches new heights in 2024
According to the Quzhou municipal bureau of commerce, 427 enterprises from the city have participated in 249 trade fairs in 2024, achieving an impressive intended transaction amount of 6.01 billion yuan ($819.88 million).
Quzhou engaged in trade with 209 countries and regions worldwide in 2024. From January to November 2024, Quzhou's exports to countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership reached 24.48 billion yuan and 17.53 billion yuan respectively, reflecting growth rates of 11.39 percent and 15.45 percent.
"At the 136th Canton Fair Autumn 2024, we have engaged with over 200 international buyers and secured over 20 potential clients, resulting in sales contracts exceeding 10 million yuan," said Li Zicheng, executive deputy general manager of Zhejiang Xuecun Refrigeration Equipment Co.
Fang Wei, general manager of Zhejiang Zhenghe Silicon Material Co, said, "We continuously expand our R&D team and invest in product development to better meet the needs of foreign customers and drive future growth."

From January to November 2024, Quzhou saw a record 1,409 active foreign trade enterprises and 108 companies with over 100 million yuan in imports and exports, marking increases from the previous year of 129 and 15 companies, respectively. During the same period, the top 30 foreign trade enterprises in Quzhou reported export values of 25.19 billion yuan, a significant increase of 34.78 percent.
"The government's subsidy policies for overseas exhibitions have provided substantial benefits, boosting our confidence and courage to explore international markets," said Wei Wen, general manager of Wendar Enterprise Co.
