The delivery ceremony of designated vehicles for the 9th Asian Winter Games took place at the Geely Satellite Super Factory in Taizhou Bay New Area in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, on Dec 17.
The 9th Asian Winter Games is scheduled to be held from Feb 7 to 14, 2025, in Harbin, Heilongjiang province. Geespace, a subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, will provide aerospace technology support for the event's service fleet, guaranteeing efficient, safe, and smart travel experiences.
The company is currently developing Geesatcom, a global low-orbit communication satellite network with 30 satellites in orbit now, offering global users efficient and precise satellite services.
During the delivery ceremony, Geespace's CEO, Wang Yang, highlighted the company's high-precision positioning services, surpassing industry standards and ensuring safety and reliability.
"At the Hangzhou Asian Games, we ensured the safe travel of the designated vehicles over a cumulative distance of more than 2 million kilometers using aerospace technology," added Wang.
The Satellite Super Factory in Taizhou Bay New Area is the world's first satellite plant that deeply integrates aerospace and automotive manufacturing capabilities. It has become the birthplace of all satellites for the Geesatcom and offers crucial support for Geespace in empowering intelligent travel.
