The 2024 11th Jiaxing Cartoon Biennale opened at Jiaxing Art Museum on Dec 10, bringing together top comic creators from across China to explore new horizons.

Going on until Feb 25, 2025, the biennale highlighted Earth's unity as being the shared home of all of humanity.

Cartoons, with their unique ability to combine ideas and humor, offer artistic insights into social phenomena and cultural life, emphasizing the importance of life values and spiritual civilization. This biennale received 1,532 entries from 37 countries, with 161 works selected for exhibition, including 97 domestic and 64 international pieces.

The exhibition features seven sections themed on oceans, deserts, forests, AI, and more. Attendees can explore a variety of creative and engaging works that reflect recent trends in cartoon art.

Professor Lin Min from Chongqing Arts and Crafts School, participating for the second time, noted the significant improvement in quality and the creative inspiration spurred by the event.

Since its inception in 2003, the Jiaxing Cartoon Biennale has grown in scope and quality, gaining international recognition and promoting the development of local comic art.

The Jiaxing Art Museum plans to further extend the influence of comic art through activities like "Cartoons Walk into Schools", aiming to integrate the art into everyday life and offer inspiring visuals for the public.
