Yiwu Foreign Trade Factory Exhibition draws international partnerships
The China (Yiwu) Foreign Trade Factory Exhibition and Cross-Border E-Commerce Procurement Fair wrapped up in Yiwu, a county-level city in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, on Dec 8.
The three-day event saw an 8.6 percent year-on-year surge in attendance, with 28,500 visitors, including 2,073 foreign participants. The total intended transaction volume reached 302 million yuan ($41.65 million), a 7.2 percent increase from the previous year.
This year's exhibition area was 19.5 percent more than last year, while specialized pavilions such as the Source Factory Pavilion and the Foreign Trade Hardware Tools Pavilion, as well as dedicated areas for foreign trade services and freight forwarding agencies, were set up.
The exhibition presented a diverse array of high-quality innovative products spanning categories like hardware tools, daily necessities, outdoor products, toys, and clothing.
During the exhibition, the foreign procurement matchmaking conference provided a platform for small and medium-sized enterprises to engage in networking and explore new business opportunities. A meeting area was specially set up in the D1 Pavilion to facilitate face-to-face discussions between overseas merchants and factory representatives.
Participants praised the event for the networking opportunities it offered and the successful deals it facilitated, with many expressing their intent to return next year to further leverage the platform for market expansion.
Yiwu has become a bustling hub for economic and trade exhibitions, with 53 events held from January to November this year.
