The "Islands Connect the World" activity took place in Daishan county from Sept 19 to 22 during the 2024 Formula Kite and TwinTip: Racing Asian Championships and the 2024 Kiteboard Tour China in Daishan.

A total of 120 top kiteboarders from 14 countries and regions, including China, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Argentina, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, and Denmark, immersed themselves in the island charm of Daishan.

Located on the northern part of Daishan Island, Lulan Qingsha Scenic Area boasts extensive beaches and vast sea areas. Colorful kites danced in the sky as athletes glided on hydrofoil boards just off the coast of the longest beach in East China.

In addition to competing, the international athletes were captivated by the unique allure of Daishan, enjoying the beautiful scenery and local seafood.

Daishan is a modern coastal county that combines sightseeing tourism and leisure vacationing. It boasts abundant tourism offerings and picturesque natural scenery.

In recent years, Daishan has hosted several large-scale sports events. It offers tourists a range of recreational activities, including beach entertainment, island hiking, marathons, island cycling, and mudflat sliding.
