Fengjiangzhou village in Anhua town, Zhuji city, has introduced the "Brown Sugar Lava Dumpling" for the Dragon Boat Festival, drawing attention to this innovative and flavorful treat.

Zhou Gefa, Party secretary of Fengjiangzhou village, showcased the freshly prepared dumplings during a live broadcast.

"This dumpling features our traditional handmade brown sugar," Zhou explained, highlighting the village's commitment to preserving and innovating with local culinary traditions.

The dumplings are crafted from aromatic glutinous rice paired with traditional brown sugar, creating a fragrant and flavorful treat. With each bite, the thick brown sugar syrup oozes out, offering a burst of happiness and warmth, making it a perfect festive delicacy.

Located in the southwestern part of Zhuji, Fengjiangzhou village has a long-standing tradition of growing sugarcane. In recent years, the village has consolidated land through centralized leasing, focusing on the "sweet industry." This strategic shift has led to the extensive cultivation of sugarcane, sorghum, and rapeseed, among other crops.

These agricultural efforts have bolstered the production of traditional brown sugar and related products, creating significant local employment opportunities. Over the past year, Fengjiangzhou village has utilized its brown sugar and derivative products to create jobs for more than 80 farmers.
