Brazilian reporters visit Jinhua

A group of Brazilian reporters embarked on a journey in Jinhua, Zhejiang province from May 15 to 18, during which they explored various aspects of the city's vibrant trade, rich history, and cultural heritage.

The group visited the Yiwu International Trade Market, where they were captivated by the vast array of small commodities available and gained deeper insights into the close trade relations and promising prospects for cooperation between Brazil and China.

Jinhua's trade with Latin America reached 27.93 billion yuan ($3.86 billion) in the first quarter of this year, marking a year-on-year increase of 23.8 percent.

The delegation also explored Youbu Ancient Town and Zhuge ancient village, immersing themselves in the city's historical and cultural essence. They toured the city's Shuanglong scenic area and the Liangtouwu International Ranch to take in the region's stunning natural landscapes.

A highlight of their visit was learning about Jinhua's Liangtouwu pigs, or two-end-black pigs, the key nationally protected local livestock and poultry breeds with a history of over 1,700 years.

In addition, the delegation visited the Zhejiang Wuju Opera Troupe and the renowned Hengdian World Studios, further experiencing Jinhua's rich cultural heritage and modern cultural industry.

The reporters' trip will play a significant role in strengthening economic and cultural exchanges between Brazil and China and serves as an important opportunity to share stories about Jinhua's economic achievements, unique culture, and favorable natural environment, according to local authorities.
